US importers are allowed to manage their FSVP program by site or they can retain their FSVP records in a centralized location such as a regional office or headquarters. If your US Buyer has multiple sites, we think it’s easiest if they have one central FSVP contact – but, it’s up to them.
You will need to provide the DUNS number, name, and email address for the FSVP contact at the record retention location chosen by the FSVP Importer. Although not written into the authoritative literature, the address of the FSVP contact must be transmitted as well.
A DUNS number is tied to a specific address, so if there are multiple retention sites, there will be a unique DUNS number for each site. Follow the link below for further discussion on the DUNS number:
